Who We Are

VIP Business Broker is located in Central  Clearwater just North and west of Clearwater Airport. Russ Rodgers is the principal broker. He has years of experience at all levels of business. Russ has worked for corporate America as well as owned and operated many small businesses. Russ holds a BA in Advertising from Michigan State University and an MBA from Saint Leo University. We provide excellent service for mergers, acquisitions, searches and business brokerage services from Main St. to Wall St.

Russ Rodgers has over 30 years in commercial real estate, finance, business management, sales, marketing, retailing and brokerage. He offers his clients a superior level of insight and consultative services. He is especially familiar with closely held corporations and sole proprietor businesses. His career has taken him to (40) countries around the globe. He has an outstanding knowledge base of the entire state of Florida and has traveled to (50) of Florida's (65) counties and (45) of the United States. He has lived and worked in the following states, Michigan, California, Indiana, Hawaii, Minnesota, Georgia and Florida. Russ specializes in the hospitality industry, hotels, motels, B&B's, restaurants, service businesses, distributors, manufacturing and distribution. He has sold millions of dollars of worth of real estate including B&B's, Motels, Hotels and Businesses of all kinds.

Russ can assist you with all commercial financing needs from SBA loans to conventional commercial property loans. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Advertising (East Lansing, MI) and an MBA in Management from St. Leo University (St. Leo, FL). Russ has done additional degree work at Valencia Community College (Orlando, FL), Hillsborough Community College (Tampa, FL), University of South Florida (St. Petersburg, FL), Florida International University (North Miami, Fl and Seminole, FL), Southern Cross University (Lismore, NSW, Australia) and Bellermine College (Louisville, KY). He is presently completing requirements to become a CHB (Certified Hotel Broker). Licenses held include State of Florida, Real Estate Broker, State of Florida, Mortgage Brokerage Business and State of Florida, Licensed Mortgage Broker. He is a former member of the faculty of St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Florida and is presently a member of the faculty of Canyon College, Caldwell, UT and a past Adjunct Faculty member of Schiller International University, Dunedin, Florida and Saint Leo University, St. Leo, Florida. Russ is proud to claim the title of , ''Former U.S. Marine.''

This, along with subsequent discussion relating to your personal goals and objectives, will provide an adequate starting point to begin a detailed search of our large listing inventory in order to develop a selection of "target" businesses for your review.

Review of Acquisition Alternatives:

This is where our professional edge can really make a difference in a successful acquisition. We will make every effort to provide you with pertinent information on a target company's financial performance, staffing, facilities, equipment, lease, inventory, customers and market areas served. In most cases we will have tax returns, customer lists, etc. for confirmation. Where we cannot provide verification of information given to us, we will advise you accordingly.

When the various business names are disclosed, you will be required to sign a standard "Confidentiality/Disclosure" form which, in most cases, is required by the business owner.
